Save me ...

Okay, I'll help you ....

There is a service called NewzBin that watches newsgroups closely to see what gets uploaded. They provide a web interface that will tell you what group the item is in. That will save you hours of digging.

But, if you're willing to pay a few cents a day, you can get access to something called NZB. This is the real secret to newsgroups.

I'm listening ...

If you're logged into NewzBin, and look at an entry, you can download a small NZB file that contains information about where on the groups that title is. Download the NZB and import it into Newsleecher.

POOF! Newsleecher will take over and download the files. NO INTERVENTION REQUIRED. Not bad eh? Imagine the time saved there ...

Most of the time, the PAR files will come down too. You DO still have to fix and extract the files, but Newsleecher does eveything else with the NZB file. If you are using Newsleecher 3.x or above, you no longer have to fix and extract the files yourself. Newsleecher DOES IT ALL.

Whoa ...

Yeah, pretty much what we thought ... Now, let's sum up ...
