Yes, even you ...
File management is a simple fact of life for anyone that sits behind a computer all day (and often all night). The graphics developer needs to manage hundreds even thousands of images ... the web developer maintains dozens of files for a web site ... the musician maintains thousands of sound samples and music files ... heck, even the common-variety Internet Surfer has downloads and email attachments to handle. With this in mind, I've always had to wonder how Microsoft could get away with shipping Windows with something as horrible as Windows Explorer for file management. Navigating folders through the Desktop is even worse! Surely there must be a more elegant solution!
Many people believe that good file management is not something that can make them more productive and that it is certainly not worth paying for considering that Windows Explorer comes with Windows for free and 'it gets the job done'. Let's face it; you can drive a nail into a piece of wood with a screwdriver if you wanted to, but isn't a hammer a much better tool for the job?
It doesn't matter who you are or what sort of user you are; file management is in your cards. You may not know it yet; but once you see the labor, time, and even frustration that a dedicated file manager can offer up - you, too, will be a believer.
Knowing you have a need is only half the battle. The next part is finding a solution ... and with many file managers out there being free, you may need to understand why you should pay for something to do the job ...
