I've updated the the FAQ system and changed some colors and added some "direct links" so you can link directly to an answer (good for pasting in a forum).

Updates to the FAQ include discussions on getting The Incredible Hulk working on the CycloDS (should work for the R4 too) and more help with the 3 in 1 Exp. pack.

For those with large capacity microSD cards, you will want to check that new FAQ entry out too.

I'm so far behind the rest of you, but I've now begun the long journey!

While in Japan, I picked up 2 Flash carts: R4DS and SAKURA...

The box for the R4 says it should contain a CD; which it DIDN'T! I know that the R4 has fallen out of favor with some of you, but I'd like to ask for any help you can give me!

I've downloaded the new Kernel from the R4 site so hopefully this will get the thing working so I can load the flashme and flash my DS...

How the hell do you load the kernel into the R4 Cart if the dam thing isn't booting up?

Is there anything other than the kernel that I need to load into the R4?

EDIT! I answered my own dam question. Sorry. I just loaded folders and files onto the MicroSD card... So I guess I was a bit unclear on things: The big Flash Cart itself has no on-board SYSTEM files per-se. It's all on the MicroSD card?

Don't forget to breathe in and then out every once in a while Matt.

Throw in a regular blink too.

I checked the FAQ but didn't see an answer to this, If I want to run a GBA game from the CycloDS which Slot 2 devices will work with it apart from the 3 in 1?

The Opera RAM cart or the Supercard Lite?

I don't have a clue. Not planning on covering anything but the Cyclo+3in1 honestly.

    Hey Shane,

I got my daughter's CycloDS Evolution from www.Modchip-Store.co.uk back in May when there seemed to be a shortage. Although it took about 2 weeks for them to get stock in, the service was pretty reasonable for the price. I'd recommend them.

I've ordered two more from www.consoleup.com today. They're in stock so I should get them within a day or two. They were about £5 each cheaper than Modchip-Store, hence going with them this time. I'll post how I find them when I know.

I think Aria in the UK are also doing flash carts like the R4, M3 and a couple of other ones such as the DSTT. Although I haven't bought any flash carts from them, I have bought computer components from them so I can also recommend them (although they were a bit pricey on the CycloDS Evo).

    Hope this helps.

    Ta,

    Rob

    Hi Shane,

Just wanted to give some feedback on ConsoleUP.com, the cards arrived next day and they even upgraded the postage too for free.

    I'd certainly recommend them.

I got my Cyclo today and have tested out a few things that nobody could answer.

1- If I run the Opera browser, I can use my Supercard Lite as a RAM pack and it works fine. No need to carry the RAM pack now.
2- If I run a GBA game from the Cyclo it will again use the Supercard Lite as a RAM pack.
3- Ironically it will not use the Opera RAM pack with GBA games. I actually expected that to be the other way around.
4- If I try to boot my Supercard Lite in slot 2, the Cyclo will not do it, while the R4 will.

Stiil the same troublesome GBA games won't run. (Classic NES titles and Super Monkey Ball Jr).
