You know, I couldn't give a $#!t if EA owns the video game industry or Microsoft controlls everything, but this is what makes me sick:

Thats because humans are worse than animals. They misuse the gifts given to them either by evolution or divine intervention. People have the ability to think and to wonder and to dream. They have free reign to mold their environment to whatever they wish. However they still act as they are merely animals because most of them are so god damn stupid they can be so easily led on a string and when told to stand they stand and when to told to get their snack. In fact worse, how many species have members that actually work on a daily basis to make their peers worse off ?

Animals have the chance to bring great joy to one's life whereas the majority of the people you meet in your life will just make your life worse and on purpose too. Sure I might need to clean up dog piss, but its a hell of a lot better than watching your peers waiting to stab you in the back. A dog is truly Man's best friend because I can guarantee you your dog isn't going to **** you over like someone who you thought was your friend.

Shane has a great disdain for this behaviour of people to not care , to screw other people over, and to let things hit rock bottom before they do anything about it ( like MS and EA controlling the air you breathe ) . However, I think he still tries his best outside of setting himself on fire to try and help people in any capacity that he can. Shane is one of those people who IMHO has been able to predict people's behaviour. He still tries to help them when it would be easier to take advantage of them for your own benefit because either way the Apocalypse is undoubtly going to happen. Nature needs not destroy us because we can do it much better than IT ever could.

Yep, my view exactly. A dog or cat isn't going to screw you over, stab you in the back, or judge your worthyness based on what you do or don't have.

You know .. people say its a cop out ... loving animals more than people, because relationships with animals are "free" and don't require the investment of time and energy that trying to obtain a similar relationship with a person.

For me, has nothing to do with that. Darksol pretty much summed it up.

I have a bumper sticker (its not on my car - that's tacky - I like to keep my car value up) that says "My ferret is smarter than your Honor Student". And what's really sad - my alpha ferret IS smarter than half the people I run into on the street.

Oh my god, that article made me so sad... and mad.

I am like the biggest dog lover (no doubt about it, look at my picture), ever since my wife and I adopted 'Camila', the cocker spaniel from the asociation that picked her up literally from a dumpster, all covered in scabies.

Oh, and the boxer puppy's name is 'Ramona'... (wow!, way off topic there

)

Well, I don't even own pets of any type but I agree, that article is horrible. I hate puppy-mills and anyone who mis-treats a helpless animal! It's bad enough when someone does it just to make a quick buck but what's with people who abuse their own pets? If you can't take proper care of an animal don't own one, simple! Some people even try to justify by claiming animals don't have feelings like people...bull****! You look in the eyes of an abused animal and tell me they don't suffer or feel un-loved. Especially dogs just seem to just be happy to see you, give so much loyalty/love and ask for little in return! Animals are cool.....think I'll go get a Pug.........
