    Wiimote Q&A

Okay, I've got a couple of dumb questions to start the thread off.

1- Are the Wiimote batteries AAs?
2- What battery life are people getting from the wiimote.
3- Can VC games only be played with the classic controller, or can you use the Wiimote or even a Gamecube controller?

    1. Yep. Two of 'em.

    2. Based on my Zelda time, I'm estimating 25 hours or so. I've replaced the batteries in both remotes now. I suspect that games (like Zelda) with lots of "rumble" and speaker sounds drain the batteries more quickly.

    3. It depends on the game. Currently, I believe all games can be played with the classic controller OR a Gamecube controller. All original NES games can be played with the Wii Remote held sideways. Others, like Sonic and Bonk, work with the Wii Remote, but I don't think all Genesis games, for example, can be played with the Wii Remote. Is that confusing?

Sort of, but it's pretty much what I expected.

Has anybody run across a Genesis or TG16 game that will not work with a Gamecube controller?

Also, has anybody spotted a classic controller in stores? I've yet to see one. My Target has about 10 Wii Remotes hanging on display and had some Nunchuks fairly recently, but I have never run across one of these classic controllers. (Not even at launch!)

Walmart seems to carry the classic controller regularly--that's where I got mine.
