We tried this morning at Gamestop but they sold out after some people camped out from 10:30 last night. How in the world did any of you get one?

Went to target at 12:30am on the morning of the 19th (i.e. camped all night). I tried to preorder at Gamestop, but didn't arrive until about 9:15am (45 minutes before opening) and their preorders had long since sold out by then.
I somehow managed to get one from the Circuit City website last Sunday. They were available for like 10 minutes. It arrived at my door on Wednesday. I was lucky.
What amazes me is that stores still don't seem to have any in stock today. I thought today they would have the biggest inventory of the season. Like Womp mentioned in another thread ebgames and Gamestop had limited quantities and bigger stores like Toys R Us had none. I guess it could be weather related on the east coast because there was some nasty weather on Wednesday when shipments probably were supposed to come in. I think maybe next week will be a better time to score a Wii.
I left work for 30 minutes to get in line at EB the day they had preorders. I got there at 9:45am. They got 14 units in and I was #10. I waited an entire 15 minutes in line to place my preorder. I picked it up at midnight on the 19th and played until 3am. The new Zelda game is great! I cannot stop playing.
That sounds great! I personally don't like EB Games or Gamestop and rarely ever shop at either. So I never thought to preorder with them. I did try Toys R Us, but they sold out of preorders just as fast as EBGames based on your story. Oh well, if I pick one up before the holidays great. If not I can wait until next year sometime.
I just kept checking Target everyday. You could get lucky like me and get one that was returned.
Got my spot outside of WalMart 28 hours before launch.
Wasn't fun![]()
Nintendo needs to keep the stores stocked with Wii's and Zelda Twlight Princess games. This Artifical Shortage crap has to end now.
Agreed, it almost annoys me enough to NOT buy one out of principle.
