    The missing interviews

Hello Shane and Bryan, I have a question.

You have this interview with Gary Goldman that you can't air for legal reasons... but in one episode Bryan talks about another interview that you couldn't air either, and I think he mentions Chip Sbrogna.
Was this inteview not aired for reasons similar to Gary's where he spilled the beans on stuff, or did he curse a lot? he,he

Also, I heard a soundbyte from R.W. Bivins in another past episode. Did you guys interviewed him as well? Was it after of before the big "IT"? Perhaps you couldn't air that either?

Thanks for clearing this doubt that has been burning me ever since CGE 2K2

The ONLY reason we wouldn't air something is if we were specifically ASKED not to. This is the case of all three interviews. Bivens didn't like that we ratted him out for Half Life on the Dreamcast so he "FORBID" us to air his interview. Chip and Gary were matters of us making them feel so comfortable that they spilled stuff to us they shouldn't have. The next day, they call and say "You know ... I said some things I shouldn't have". In Gary's case, it was pretty much everything he said.

You think you will ever be able to release those interviews, or will they be locked away forever ?

Do you know how many news organizations would've just run with a story, even when an interviewie asked them not too, just to stir things up? Just about every one...

I for one am glad that Shane doesn't act like every news organization especially when it comes to personally damning news.

However I still want to know

No, I can't see the interviews ever seeing sunlight. I considered even destroying them, but I can't. I love to still listen to them (even if I can't share them ) and someday, I know the people recording them are going to want to hear them.

In Gary's case, the smacking around of Disney is so good ... and so ... confirmational ... that it KILLS me not to be able to play it. But a deal is a deal, and I love the guys at Bluth Films so much, I won't do anything to risk their friendship (when you get Christmas cards from Don Bluth, you don't do ANYTHING to mess that up).

Yeah! we all want to know who put that naked chick in the rescuers!

However, that's a very interesting point about how every other news organizations wouldn't have cared at all.

Yes, let's keep this in mind when talk of my "giant ego" circulates. If all I gave a crap out is being a big shot and trying to make a name for myself, then I'd screw everyone over every chance I got (see news anchor) in pursuit.

I serve a higher purpose than myself; and it has nothing to do with God (see another post elsewhere to get that). I want to serve my fellow man.

I agree completely, Darksol. That's one reason I really dig the show - it's apparent that Shane really cares about everything he rants on and everyone he talks to in the business. This isn't some souless plastic-wrapped show for the masses - this is the real stuff, just a regular guy (with more motivation than most of the rest of us ), who is talking to the people who changed our lives for the better. ...and Shane in his way is doing the same thing.
