I've decided to make a new thread with links to the popular homebrew here..

==General Tips==
- You will need to have flashed your DS to run any of the homebrew here.. or use a Superkey.. but generally best, if you can, to have a flashed DS. If using a Superkey, be smart about where you download homebrew from (as in, download from trusted site) and careful not to run code that could brick the DS (flashing prevents this from happening).
- In running homebrew code, do not patch it from the Supercard program at all.. just copy and paste onto your media.
- Be aware of what hardware is needed for which version of the homebrew you are getting.. in most cases there are different versions of the program made for Compact Flash and SD (miniSD runs SD based) as well as some made for flashcarts.. make sure you download the correct type for what you have.
- It's a good idea to have a backup of everything on your computer hard drive. For example - ScummVM DS is not quite stable yet, thou playable, and it can sometimes cause corruption of data on SD cards (a way around this is through careful ini manipulation)
- Please follow the forum guide lines when talking homebrew.. Shane doesn't want talk about roms and such here..

SCUMMVM is pretty awesome on the DS, an excellent conversion I must say. Nothing like some good ol' Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle. It even supports the CD sound and Talkie versions! Yay Sam and Max!

Any chance you might expand(or link to) the .ini changes that need to be made? I haven't had a problem with it yet, but since I'm using an SD card I am worried about potential data loss.

The nes emulator has a rewind feature?

Does it have a frameskip/fast-forward feature too?

NESDS does support Fast Forward. Of course, you can't save any progress at the moment, so I guess it makes sense to have Fast Forward

The NES emulator built into the Supercard is a version of PocketNES, so it doesn't support Rewind or Fast Forward, but it does allow you to save, which makes it much nicer for RPGs.

Hey, that's neat. I've never seen an emulator that wasn't on the computer that allowed you to fast forward.

But if you can't save, that's pretty much worthless. Unless you like the "classic NES" approach. Does it even have battery backup?

I think NES emulation on the DS right now is a lost cause. Pocket NES stutters on the audio and slows down on many games. nesDS is apparently better, but can't save games. Are there any other alternatives?

Yes I know we do but the thread seems to have died and besides that it's easier to find homebrew when the first page has links to said programs itself.. I'm gonna update the list with these, links, and Picodrive here..
