Advice needed... my wife wants a DS Lite too

So, for those who have SO's who have a DS as well, do you each get a copy of the games you like a lot, or do you share?

For games that support single cart play (like Super Mario and Tetris DS) is there any advantage in each person having their own copy of the game?

If it is something my wife will really play, I buy two copies; one gets in put in the drawer - one goes to my wife. I play my copy off the Supercard.

My wife owns about 9 games of her own and has her own Supercard and a flashed DS.

As for "advantages", multi-cart is ALWAYS a better deal as some games take quite awhile to transfer - and waiting for that kills spontenaety and twitch gaming.

Depending on your own personal ethics, you may purchase a copy and use it + a Supercard copy to ensure "multi-card" play. Buying one copy and 'using another' copy is definately better for the publisher than "using both" copies.

Only games we own 2 of are Tetris and Animal Crossing. Other wise she just borrows and or we multiplay off one cart, such as New Super Mario Bros Minigames.

I really want to figure out the flashing/supercard stuff. Carrying around all those little teenie cartridges is going to be a pain.

IMHO, I don't see a problem with owning just one copy for household. Otherwise, what if you have 3-4 people in the house who plays DS games? You gonna buy a copy for each of them?

I say go for it, with the Touch Generations line introduced it's worth doing so!

I suggest getting her Brain Age and Big Brain Academy along with her DS Lite
