DS lite screen refresh not as high as DS phat?

I noticed there is some blurring during motion in some games, also in tetris ds on catch mode there is a flashing of the background. Something tells me that the refresh rate of the ds lite isnt as good as the original ds...that or i got a bad lite.

    Anyone else notice this?

I've noticed some "Wave" effects at certain angles in certain game conditions...Right off the top of my head: Any of the green background Luigi card games from New Super Mario Bros. I've mainly noted them on the top screen but it in no way affects gameplay.

    Dayom, why haven't I noticed this? I've had a Lite a LONG time ...

Now I have to go looking for it ...

I'll tell you this much; the rich colors and detail aren't always your friend. Play Warioware Touched and play the boss game where you try to fill the bucket with the rainbow particles. The Bucket graphic's background isn't pure black! Thanks to the level of detail, you can SEE that the background of the bucket sprite is like 0,0,1 instead of 0,0,0 (you programmers will get it). I was like WHOA! How did THAT get by QA????

I guess at the time, they only had phat DSes to test, so maybe they didn't even see those artifacts.

I figured they made games on some sort of dev kit where they actually made the game on and tested with a PC or non-DS device - but apparently that's not the case!

The waves are kinda like the effect of a PC monitor when you look at it on a video recording, except very faint. I'll be honest dude, its NOT easily apparent so I can understand how you missed them and as I said its under specific conditions. No big deal either as I've seen it before on similar technology.

BTW, after my second start from scratch blow through of Touched!, I saw what you meant by the bucket on that rainbow boss...Seriously, WTF...I mean this is Nintendo, not Ignition Entertainment (Elf Bowling) here.
