    Plugin test ?

Recently found out about this site:

    http://www.popuptest.com

Which is designed to test out the prowess of whatever popup blocker you're using. I'm wondering if they have such a site to test and see what browser plgins you have installed, specifically:

    - Flash
    - Shockwave
    - Java
    - Quicktime
    - Real
    - WMP
    - PDF viewer
    - Whatever other plugins/video codecs you might need

I think it would be convenient to have all that stuff in one place, instead of running from site-to-site to make sure you've got everything installed correctly.

It not really possible to do this sort of testing unless you're running IE (since only IE allows OS level access). Some things you could just say "If you see this, you have Flash" or "If you see this, you have Quicktime".

I would question the accuracy of this method though.

Yeah, that is what I meant. And if you could see it, that should be a pretty good test, no? I mean, how the hell you going to see a Quicktime movie if you don't have something that plays Quicktime movies installed ?
