That's one convoluted story. The videos in the game are cool though.

What are the tiers people make for the game? I don't like them and believe people who make them take games too seriously.

What do you mean? Are you asking why the characters are ranked into different tiers by the competitive Smash community? It's based off tournament performance among other things. For instance, Metaknight is the highest tiered character because 99% of the time tournaments were won with him. Last I heard he was banned from tournament play, though.

Yes why do people rank them? Tiers cause a lot trouble in other places and often cause flame wars.

Well unfortunately Super Smash Brawl is not a very balanced game. Like was said earlier, MetaKnight is incredibly cheap if used well.
