New GCN Players Choice games

Nintendo has anounced that Starfox: Assault, Pikmin 2, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and Zelda: Four Swords Adventure, are becoming players choice.

This really pisses me off because I just bought Starfox last month for $30 used. %*@(_)*)#@&(&$&)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was waiting for it to go Players Choice, but after a year figured it would be like Mario Kart and never do it. Oh well. Just makes me mad at myself for not waiting a little while longer. Its a good game for $30, a great game for $20. No so good if you payed $50, a bit to short. At least I can get Paper Mario on the cheap.

I can also say that Pikmin is worth every penny. I put almost 40 hours into that game. It's great, and one of the few games that my wife likes to watch me play.

I will have to pick up Starfox if it is only $20.

I didn't really get into Pikmin 1 so I am not sure about Pikmin 2. Is it the same style of gameplay?

I hear StarFox (Which was actually done by Namco believe it or not) is a huge let down. Nothing I guess can top the original.

It's not really a stellar(heh) game by any stretch, at least compared to the better renditions of Star Fox, but it is a fun game if you are willing to learn the slightly wonky control scheme. It wasn't worth full price, but $20 bucks is the sweet spot, at least for me. Good multiplayer game as well, again, if you can adjust to the control scheme.

That's pretty awesome news. I loved Pikmin to death but HATED the time limit thing to get off the planet. I heard that it's gone now so I'm totally picking up Pikmin 2.

I thought I hated the time limit on Pikmin 1 too but after playing pikmin 2 without it I think Nintendo may have been right to have it in there. Not that Pikmin 2 was bad.
