All I got to say about this is...

    WHAT... A.... FREAKING... IDIOT.......

Obviously she doesn't even get what our beloved show is about. :x

She's refering to the infamous fight scene from "Lethal Weapons" which she couldn't even describe correctly. Personally that scene is damn funny.

Well, you'll get no defense of Family Guy from me because I've never seen it, but ...

This reminds me of the book 'Stupid White Men' by Michael Moore, in which Moore writes about several letters of complaints he got about the fact that in his film 'Roger and Me' shows a rabbit being clubbed to death. But the ironic thing is that just a few minutes later into the movie, Moore shows a black man getting shot and killed ... not one single person ever wrote in about that.
Seeing something like a husband and wife beating up each other may be traumatic (sp) for someone who has suffered domestic abuse, but how do you think a widow of a police officer who has been murdered feels when she turns on the TV and sees one of what are probably dozens of cop killings being shown on prime time on a weekly basis? I mean, how far do you want to take this?
Another thing I found ironic is she says this FG scene shows up in an advertisement and says this is bad for children, but probably won't say a damn thing about the 10,000 or so junk food ads her kid is going to see in the next year. A guy at work was commenting today about how his kids seem to only want to eat at McDonalds ... geeee, ya think? *pffffft* I've said it before and I'll say it again - people in this country have weird morality.

That women is hilarious. I really hope she spell checks here letter before she sends it to Fox Entertainment.

All I have to say to her is too bad her parents didn't finish what they started.
Maybe then she wouldn't have the energy to write such idiotic letters.

There's nothing to respond to. His words would just bounce back like an echoe.

This is a prime example of someone with no responsibility for their own life. Some people, it seems, cannot handle their own lives. To "take care of business" as Judge Joe Brown says isn't in their cards. In order for their lives to have any meaning to them, they must spend their time imposing their will on others (like I've said 100 times before, and I'm sure I'll say 100x again - life is one like one long semester of high school). To take care of themselves and their children simply isn't enough for them. To parent themselves has no value - they feel they must parent everyone.

This woman is even worse. She has "victim syndrome". You see this ALL THE TIME. A lot of time, you see it with retarded people - those that know they can get what they want in life by "being the victim". Using their handicap to skate through life (my bunkmate in the Navy was like this ... he wasn't bright enough to fold a sweater, but he was bright enough to use his handicap to make sure everyone else HAD to do his work so we didn't ALL get in trouble). Have you ever had a coworker or friend tell you they'd been raped or abused? And you go "NO WAY!! YOU SEEM SO NORMAL!" .. that's because they aren't part of the "victim syndrome". They accepted what happened to them... AND THEY MOVED ON. My ex-wife is part of the 'victim syndrome' - so I have FIRST HAND experience with it. You can be a victim in life - and scream everytime something doesn't go your way - or, you can get counseling, do what you need to do, and get through it - AND MOVE ON. I was abused as a child. I have the scars to prove it. Fortunately, I'm not a 'victim syndrome' person.

People like this woman get PLEASURE by screweing with other people's rights and ideology. "I was abused so I INSIST you stop anything I might find offensive". Watch Southpark ... Listen to Howard Stern. You see examples of this in spades in these shows. Not a single person is FORCED to listen to Stern or watch Southpark (which is about oh ... 100x more offensive and crosses the line a WHOLE LOT MORE than FG ever has).

This is smoker mentality. The smokers scream they can't smoke in restaurants; claiming their rights are being violated; despite the fact that in pursuant of those rights, they are taking away mine. I have every right to enjoy a meal at a restaurant without gagging while I eat or going home and burning my clothes. I don't want my children's health at risk. (If you can't get through a meal or a beer without smoking, you have bigger problems than non-smoking restaurants.) This woman is no different. By executing what she feels is her rights, she imposes on mine. The good news here is ... SHE CAN LEAVE THE TV OFF .. or, better yet ... PARENT ... dumb f'ing cow. TEACHERS, BROADCASTERS, and YOUR GOVERNMENT are not supposed to be parenting your kids ... so stop trying to get out of your duty by making the FCC do your job. If you can't control what your children watch, maybe you shouldn't have a TV. If you can't control what your kids listen to, take away their radio. If you'd done the right job to begin with, you wouldn't need to take away my rights to be an adult.

There are about 10 million bigger fish to fry than worrying about a little edgy animated humor on TV.

Stern said it best the other day. Our illustrious president feels that cutting edge issues like gay marriages and stopping science are what's really important in life - I guess Jesus is just easier to find than Osama, right? One of Stern's friend's (works for either a newspaper or TV news magazine) was telling him that the MOST correspondance mailed in by listeners wasn't the war in Iraq. Not stem cell research. Nothing that anyone with an IQ above their shoe size would be concerned with. No - they wrote in about U2's Bono saying the F word during some award ceremony.

GODDAMMIT PEOPLE - WAKE THE F UP. There are more important issues in life than FG and Janet Jackson's tit. Imagine if these losers actually applied this energy to ... lessee ... PARENTING ... or maybe getting behind something a little more useful to their fellow man rather than trying to ban a little toilet humor.

Someday I might have to run for president ... not because I'm so damn smart or leet ... just because I'd like to see someone in a position of power that hasn't had their entire life handed to them on a platter - someone that has actually WORRIED about where their next meal was going to come from (literally). Someone that's been through the ringer - someone that has a little goddamn compassion for his fellow man - not his checkbook. Someone whose parents didn't spoonfeed them everything they've asked for. Let the people ACTUALLY be represented by "one of their own" - not the rich, moral majority.

The country needs a little less time talking to Jesus and a little more time talking to their children, each other. World might be a better place.

Great response Shane. However, if I was elected President I wouldn't be showing much 'compassion' towards people like the ones who play the victim syndrome. They would have the pleasure of meeting my secret 'crack' commando squad and see how they like being the victim of 'retaliation against stupid people who tick me off.'.

The way I see it, these people have every right to try and enforce their morality on soceity, just like we have the right to enforce ours. For example, if they one day made a law that said (for example) raping children was legal in this country, would you stand back and let that happen without protesting?
These people don't see homosexuality as being any different than rape or murder in principle. 'No victims', you say? They would contend that two parties participating in this act are both victims because they're sinning against God. Not saying they're right, just that they have a different 'moral foundation' than we do, and they believe that some of these activities (including premartial sex, profanity on television, etc) are eroding the moral foundation of this country, thereby making this world a worse place for their children to live and thus impeding on their rights to live without being exposed to this kind of thing. (Sure, you can turn off the TV, but it's kind of hard to avoid this kind of thing when it's all over billboards and everywhere else.)
Though you might stand back and yell 'BS!' on the above paragraph, and you would pretty much be preaching to the choir on that one, I have resolved that there will alwasy be people like this and that's the way it's always going to be. Unless you find a way to kill religion altogether, there's not much you can do about it, I don't think.

They can have their opinons and beliefs .. I'm cool with that. DO WHATEVER YOU WANT as long as it doesn't impose your will on others.

This religious virtuosos aren't happy to be "saved by Jesus". Their goal is to convert everyone else - and THAT IS WRONG.

Its simple to remove your children from anything you decide you don't want them involved in - I know - I'm a parent myself, and I've figured out how to keep my children aligned with my beliefs and morals without trying to convert the masses.

Here is my big problem ... its "ok and their right" to protest Family Guy and Howard Stern - but why can't I attack their religion OUTRIGHT too without reprocussion on a LEGAL level? If it was FAIR, then EVERYONE could be involved. Its NOT fair as it stands now ...
