... "Brokeback Mountain" yet?

I know I am. Very much so. Just hearing the TV in the break room at work there were no less than 3 ads run for the DVD release within 10 minutes. Not to mention the amount of customers I've been seeing this week who are gushing over it....

I just don't get it?

Are there any straight males on the board who'd want to go see a movie about a couple of gay guys? I read the skinny on the movie at themoviespoiler.com, and based on what I read, I didn't miss much.

BTW: Did you guys hear about the alternate name for this movie? It was originally to be called 'The Magnificient 7 Inches'

Can't say that I have any desire to see it. For it to be nominated for an Emmy should be taken with a grain of salt.

I too have seen enough to realize that: It isn't a movie so much as a statement.

Sadly, it's not far removed from MANY of the recent movies (and Emmy award winners) that Hollywood is pushing (yes - I said PUSHING!) on us today.

Hollywood is a country of it's own. Now lets invade and destroy them... I'll trade you ONE Iraq for ONE Hollywood! Let's get it on!

Yes, expect the video game version of Brokeback Mountain to be out soon. Such a game would be the Rev/Go's "killer app". Just think of the thrusting gameplay that will make good use of that motion sensing controller.

Knowing Nintendo, they'd probably kiddie-ize it. Yes, Brokeback Mario: A Mario & Luigi Love Story. Two brothers with a taboo love they kept secret until now.
