GB Micro for the retro gamer...

I picked up a sweet GB Micro for micro-sized retro gaming. Now I can "keep it retro" (tm) anywhere, anytime

I'm posting because I'm on the lookout for classic game compilations, as well as good retro remakes to suit this system.

I've invested in the recently reissued (in Japan) Konami Arcade Advanced collection.

And the very newest Namco 50th Anniversary by Digital Eclipse which finally features true arcade vertical alignment play especially with the GB Micro in mind (the only Gameboy you can comfortably hold vertically). EDIT MONTHS LATER: Namco 50th Anniversary by Digital Eclipse is buggy and should be avoided!

What other classic game compilations are worth getting for pocket play? (I can tolerate a few flaws, but not unfaithful ports.)

In the area of retro remakes I noticed a version of Double Dragon was released, which has me intrigued. Is this a good Double Dragon game like the first two arcade titles, or rubbish like most of the rest? What other 8-bit / 16-bit classics or remakes are worth having?

I'm already investing in the Final Fantasy remakes, and I already know about the Zeldas, Metroids, etc.

about the Double Dragon GBA port...

I have heard some not-so-good things about it, ie not being too faithful to the original, etc.

    There are others, such as:

    Dr. Mario/Puzzle League
The Classic NES series (only 2 waves came out, bad Nintendo)
    the Super Mario Advance series
the Famicom Mini series (JPN only, more came out there, again, bad Nintendo)
Mother 1+2 (JPN only, bad Nintendo thrice)
    River City Ransom GBA
Super Dodge Ball Advance (for those of you who played Super Dodge Ball for NES back in the day)
Wario Ware Inc. (9-Volt's minigames are retro)

there are probably more, but memory doesn't serve.

Yeah but the fact that they are spread over 25 cartridges would stop me buying them.

I'm currently visiting the "parental units" and the Toys"R"Us here is closing down, so I decided to see what was left and see what kind of deals I could find - I walked out with a Game Boy Micro.

The Micro was $70, I picked-up Konami Arcade Advance for $10, and a package of the Micro Sox for $5 - with tax the total came out to $92 and change. Not too bad.

So has anybody tried a flash cart on the Micro yet?

Nah, I beg to differ there... The original model GBA works well vertically too.
