just got the news today that we are getting 100mbit down and 10mbit down i 5 weeks for the same price and 10/10 i have now ;O)

We used to be doing pretty good here in Canada (well, Ontario) . . . we had 3/1 well before the U.S. did.

Now, we suck . . . just got 5/1 recently (I don't have it though, costs too much). But the U.S. carriers are pulling ahead.

And, of course, countries like Korea and Sweden own all our asses.

Well when you live in a smaller country these things are easier. At least that applies to Korea.

Verizons Fiber to Home project promises 40 Mb. But in the fiber case I know that it can go up. Its all about the pricing structure.

The cable carriers in the US could easily do 10 Mb for us ( current cable modems are rated for 10 Mb/s), but these will be 'upgrades' for the next few years.

Its not a question of the technology, the investment and the deployment is the issue. When I was in college, I had limited access to Internet2 and that blew everything I knew at the time out of the water.

Damn, I get less than you and pay more. How's the weather in Sweden? Is it necissary to learn the language first, or could I get buy with English while I learn it.

most people here is good at english so you would be fine until you learn swedish. The weather have been great it's 13 degres today which is high for this time of year
