done, and done.
Hi,
I just wondered if theres a way to set opera to close an active window with a mouse click.
Yeah, uh, click the little red/white "X" on the tab of the open window. If you don't see an "X" then go into the Tools, Prefs, and then click the box next to "Show Close Button on Each Tab"
It should be noted that doing that disables the MDI interface (many pages within ONE task bar entry of Opera) which, to me, is one of Opera's strongest points (no other browser does it - plugins or not).
By the way, middle button click (or wheel click) on a tab will close it. You don't need the X button.

The middle button on my Logi G7 just brings up zoom and if i go into setpoint and set the button to "middle button" and then try the middle mouse button on opera, it just brings up the auto scroll X on the middle of the screen, and moving the mouse up and down scrolls the page ?.
So does anyone know what macro or command opera uses, so I can manually
set the command in my mouse setpoint settings (wow what a mouthful)
Thanks in advance.
The middle click must occur on the tab you want to close - not in the content area of the screen.
By the way ... you sound like a candidate for mouse gestures. I use them ALL the time. You can close a tab ANYWHERE with a gesture. You can open a new page, navigate forward and back .. TONS of things with a TINY flick of the mouse. Trust me ... they sound gimmicky. If you HONESTLY use them for a week - you'll never be able to browse without them again.

Are you Serious bitch, no it's rich actually.
Has anyone useing Opera come across times where you click something and nothing happens? I'm getting this more and more. Not sure if it's my PC causing the problem or something inside of Opera itself.
When the problem occurs, I either have to restart the Browser, or open Firefox.
Hmm. maybe it's something buggy in 9, I know its not an official release yet.
I went to 9 for a day or two. I had to many things not working correctly, so I went back to 8.
Hmmm... that's strange... there are numerous bugs in 9 that I'ev identified.
Nothing like that tho ... sometimes after a browser check window, the next page will show up in the URL, but nothing appears on the screen - a simple RELOAD and the page shows up. I dunno if that's what you're talking about, and that's DEFINITELY a bug in 9. Wach the URL line and see if it updates but the page doesn't. Hit Reload.
Other problems include small file downloads don't open with their trigger program. Ummmm.... there are a couple of other things too ... can't think this early tho ...
