Armageddon is preferable to a slow painful death.

[q]It's about fairness. Democrats are saying, contribute when you are earning, get benefits when you need help. Republicans are saying, you are on your own.[/q]

So what about those who aren't contributing anything, but are reaping the benefits? I have met quite a few of these people myself :P Personally, I like the Republican way... I will contribute to my own savings, and draw out when I need it. In other words, you pay for your own shit, and I'll pay for mine. That sounds fair to me.

Don't forget, everyone is "entitled" to handouts from the Government. None of that self reliance stuff. Raise taxes and give it those who don't...and they'll keep voting for the ones who make it happen.

The more you expect from government, our public servants, the more government will call the shots. They call themselves "officials" now and dictate what you can and can't do.

So yeah, everything is upside down and we let it happen.....just roll over and do nothing and look what you get.

Or in other words, why I could never be a liberal.

Yup, like marrying a gay person, hiring a prostitute, not buying liquor on Sundays, etc. Or in other words, why I could never be a conservative.

Fiscally conservative and socially liberal. So what does that make me? Probably a libertarian
