Ah, the classic Superbowl ad. Brilliantly parodied in Futurama (when the 80s business guy rebrands Planet Express as Planex and releases the commercial to "grow the brand")

It didn't get as much exposure in the UK. Macs remained a cult and a high-end machine for several years. It was the first iMac that really gained market share over here.
