Well, just be careful with those SSRI's. I understand that they can put you in sort of a "dream state". If you dig deeply into the people that "snapped" and went and killed a bunch of people, you'll find out that they probably were on one of them. Obviously you already know to ween off of them slowly.

I am currently on Cymbalta for my Fibro Myalsia, the last drug I was on was giving me dry heaves but this thing seems to work really well

After listening to that story, I will say this ...

If some bleeding hearts out there ever wonder why some of us are not more sympathetic to the poor and 'downtrodden' in this country, this story illustrates EXACTLY why. I understand that some of these people get caught in bad situations beyond their control, but most of them seem to make it their mission in life to fuck themselves, and will repeatedly go down the same path of destruction, despite having been given several chances to go in the other direction.

Obviously, this is a tragic story, but it's also one I've seen played out time and time again, even with people I've personally tried to help. Thus, I've learned a long time ago that you just can't save people from themselves. Sounds like Shane knew the score as well. When it comes to women, what's worse is when they suffer for years at the hands of some abusive asshole, finally decide to get out of that situation, only to shack up with another abusive asshole shortly afterward. Have seen that happen too... with my own mother

As for Shane's daughter, I think if she ever decides that she REALLY wants out of that situation, she'll find a way to get to Phoenix on her own.

Yeah, the definitely aren't for everyone. I think they, like any other drug, can be misused, mis-given and ultimately lead to a situation as you describe.

My rheumatologist put me on Effexor hoping it would help some of the pains I was having. He did NOT tell me about any side effects or the difficulty of getting off it.

After three months or so, the Effexor wasn't doing anything for me so he took me off of it. Holy freaking animal crackers! It took six months for me to get back to normal. Effexor should be taken off the market as far as I am concerned. I have since talked to many people who have had lots of trouble with Effexor.

Cymbalta, on the other hand, has worked great for me. I have went on and off it with no side effects a couple of times.

It doesn't surprise me that SNRIs have worse withdrawals as they target more neurotransmitters than one. I heard they give better results than SSRIs, but if I'm going to screw up my brain chemistry that bad, I need to be certain of those results.

I had never listened to PSR before but I picked up a few episodes today (who knows, maybe I missed your voice lol) and I'm really into it. There's something about your... I don't want to say self-deprecating, maybe humble, but for sure, honest, way you open up about your life that is very appealing.

I agree with WorknMan. We all (listeners) know she is good at scheming things. If she really wanted to get out of the relationship, she would be planning to get out of it and figuring a way to get to Phoenix. (most likely she would save enough money to make the trip since she can find a job) No need on your part to get involved. The best advice for you is to sit back and ride it out.
