After hearing about roberts emulators through the rgr show i thought id check one out for my Samsung galaxy s2. Its a powerful phone so i guess it can probably handle any app on the android market due to its near pc like specs.

I chose to buy the a2600, Atari 2600 emulator. Great app for the price i must say!

Of course it has the wii remote connectivity as mentioned in the rgr shows. Of course i dont have a wii etc so i am tied to using the onscreen dpad. Its okay but it just seems a bit off the directional functionality or it is my big fingers as when playing many games i find that i end up hitting the reset button. I think on an update this should be moved to the top of the screen so you dont hit it by accident or it could become frustrating if your doing well on a game.

As for the emulation itself it seems very good, i love centipede for the 2600 its my favourite version of the port and i think its near perfect. I havent noticed any differences at all.

When i do purchase an android tablet i cant wait to get this app on as its just a bit too small for a mobile phone i think. Im just waiting for the killer android tablet to come out that will make me scrapy my ipad1 which i do love for browsing and touch gaming etc. Currently the only tablet i see myself buying is the motorolla tablet but its a bit expensive i think at £450.
