I was able to get around the tax thing when setting up my dad's PS3. I forgot how I did it, but I think getting the card from Amazon Prime + setting up a zip somewhere (maybe Nevada?) on the system.
And for the record, I'm all good with rentals and 'all you can eat' subs, but I'm not down with this 'virtual ownership' thing either. Sure, I've thrown down $10-$15 for a game before, but with the understanding that I didn't own it. Would I have traded for a disc? Probably not, cuz then you would have to put the damn disc in every time you wanted to play. Shows you how lazy we've gotten as a societyOn the other hand, Steam has these sales where you can get games for $5-$10. At that price, it might be worth it just to play a game over a 3-day weekend. Hell, that's about the same price as a Blockbuster rental.
I for one do not want to remove the physical media option, but they're going to take that away eventually, especially on PCs and handhelds, where piracy is rampant. (Well, not on the 3DS yet, but I don't think it'll be much longer. I'm sure Flare is chomping at the bit.)
Thanks for the show.
Do you know if there's an easy way I can see all your Google+ pages?
I can find them with the search but I was expecting a list of pages associated with your "regular" account.
Yep, cranks out another one!
Nice.

Hate to break this to you Shane, but MultiFox on Firefox has been doing multiple identities since 2009. Based on your description, it seems Google's techs were very 'inspired' by this addon. The implementation sounds very similar.
I agree its a must have feature. I just don't have to switch to Chrome to use it.
I hate how Google is product dumping Chrome by placing an ad on the main Google page if you use any browser but Chrome.

About the taxes on PSN, i've always paid taxes until the PSN fiasco last spring. Since then we pay no taxes at all on our purchases and i have no idea why. I'm surely not sad about it though. We used to pay 14% taxes
I'd have to see the implementation to know for sure.
But then again, you know me - I prefer OUT OF THE BOX experiences vice using endless resource grubbing extensions. That's why I was on Opera for so long.
As for the ad? What if you go to a mozilla related page with Chrome? Do they encourage you to download Firefox?

Great show! The Chrome multiple users thing sounds like something I'd use--does it save your profiles locally or online?
