Tried to find the night-crawlers episode.
    Not much luck.
    Do you have any links?
I did find a couple of video's showing white sheet like walking figures.
Sadly it was mostly cobbled up peoples videoes with stupid music.

    Great show as always Shane.

This pirated content stuff goes back to the days when we did not have Internet. It started when we could connect 2 VCR’s to each other and copy video tapes that contained movies and other copyrighted content. Most likely rented from the Video Store. Also, when movies were recorded from HBO or the Movie Channel or wherever, those could also be duplicated using a high quality VCR and Video Cassette. Then make a nice looking box that essentially looks like the real thing and then distribute it on the black market. Of course, it took longer to reach a wide audience that the Internet the now allows.
Then there was the dual cassette deck that allowed us to copy (insert name of album and artist here ). Again, if the equipment and cassettes are of high quality, the end result was nearly as good as the cassette that was copied. I guarantee most people would not be able to tell the difference even if the quality was slightly less which occurs anyway because of the duplication process. They probably did not give a rats ass anyway. They were just happy to have a copy that they did not have to go out and buy. Thus the “Mix Tape” was born as a result of this. I am sure there were people who copied cassettes using the built in microphone of those old cassette/radio combo devices. Of course the quality was not good but they did not care. But it was still unauthorized duplication. Again, those copies took longer to reach a broader audience.
Lets not forget the people who tape a movie off the screen in the theater. Which in and of itself is horrible quality. But there are people who don’t give a rats ass and are just happy to get to see the movie for free. Again, could most likely be duplicated back in the day with out using the Internet.
The bottom line is that I am sure that whatever new technologies emerge tomorrow, there will be a way to pirate content and distribute it.
So shutting down Wikipedia and putting black bars over the Google logo and all the other crap they did, did not solve anything. I wonder if the copies of the tapes and cassettes are still out there after all these years or if someone is still using these technologies to pirate content. I wonder what the current idiots in congress have to say about that? Much less if they even know what a cassette or a VHS tape is.
