The Big One is almost here...Skyrim. Who's going to join me on this epic adventure?

Guys,

New to the RPG scene. I was given a Fallout New Vegas Collector's Edition in 2010 as my best man gift at my friends wedding. Odd, I know but he's a fellow nerd. Never played any epic RPGs on consoles but I have a history in the computer days-- Ultima, Questron, etc.
Man, it was a plague was unleased on my household. Fallout NV, and later Fallout 3, quickly rocketted to the top 10 of all time favorites and I've been gaming since the Atari 2600 years.

Never played Oblivion but the reviews so far for Skyrim are extremely positive so I'm going to give it a try.

Anyone else planning to play? Entexman?
I'd enjoy sharing non-spolier impressions.


Even though I did some power nerd playing last weekend I have on the hopper: Infamous 2, MW3, Unchartered 3, Enslaved, and now Skyrim.
Just putting a finishing bow on Batman Arkham City with sidequests. Oh yeah, DC Universe went free to play so I thought I would give that a try too as I've never played a MMO.

I don't want to give the wrong impression that I play games all the time, I was just hit hard with all these releases.

I've got Skyrim "pre-loaded" on Steam ready to play when it launches tonight/tomorrow. You should reall consider grabbing Oblivion at some point, Chad--it's a great game. You don't need to have played it to enjoy Skyrim (the stories aren't conncted), but I think it's a game that stands up well today even though it launched right about the time when the 360 launched.

I "fear" Oblivion for how much addiitonal--on top of everything else--time it will suck. I have that on my list for when there is nothng to play. That'll happen some day, right?

I won't be going to Skyrim... not played any of the Elder Scrolls games, don't think I can find the time to sink into an epic game like this right now with a stay in hospital imminent.
