Maybe someone can enlightened me, when i check apps ram usage it seems like i only have 512 megs RAM. Is that normal? It will say something like 138 used, 374 free.... I was under the impression that the Transformer had 1 gig of RAM.

The 1GB is shared with the GPU ... so ... You won't ever see 1GB available.

I have been playing the pinball games in the Tegra zone on the Prime. Freaking amazing!

FYI - ICS on Transformer delayed: http://www.engadget.com/2012/02/16/a...-aims-for-feb/
Yeah, I've been bitching and whining about it on Google+ already.
I'd be HAPPIER about delays if they would tell us WHY. Who is holding up the show? Google? WHAT is holding up the show?
There are $88 tablets running around with ICS on them - and I have the cream of the crop tablet - and I have NOT.
Makes me mental.

Firmware update dropped today! No 'What's new' floating around but I would assume the obvious - ICS bug fixes. :P

Hi everyone,
I was planning on buying an Asus Transformer Prime (TF201) about a month ago but heard all about the new Infinity Pad (TF300) coming out most likely sometime in the 2nd quarter this year. I thought I would wait it out as the display seems to have a higher resolution on the new model, but I have heard some mentions that the new one isn't as good as the current TF201? Plastic case as opposed to metal, less processing power and some other short comings?
Could I get some of your expert thoughts on this? Maybe I should just pull the trigger now or keep waiting until he Infinity Pad comes out?
Have done many searches and it is hard to compare them, thanks in advance.
The new one has the same processing power as the Prime, unless they've changed something recently. The reason for the new plastic case is that the metal thing they've got going on the Prime screws up the GPS and weakens the wifi signal. I gotta be honest... I got a stiffy when I laid eyes on the Prime in Best Buy, but I would definitely wait for the new one, because of the GPS/wifi issues. Even if it turns out that the Prime is better, you could always pick one up at that time. The Prime is definitely a sweet, sweet tablet, but they probably should've spent a couple more months in QA.
