So was it the keyboard that persuaded you to get the Transformer over the Galaxy 10.1, or some other reason?
For me, it was the support from Asus, they are constantly putting out updates. Honeycomb 3.2 dropped really fast, since the Transformer is pretty close to stock Android.
When Womp recommended it I did some research and it's widely regarded as a great tablet. The Samsung supposedly has the best screen, but the lack of SD card was a deal breaker for me. That and Samsung has a bad track record for updates and support--the Galaxy Tab 7 just recently got Gingerbread after months where Samsung wouldn't commit to assuring users they'd get it done.
Oh, and I have the keyboard--it's fantastic. Not only is it a great keyboard, but it acts as a portable power supply to charge your tablet. Lots of useful Android specific keys too, that you won't find on a regular Bluetooth keyboard.

Cool, I can see how getting timely updates from the manufacturer would be a big plus. Maybe Asus will release a phone running ice cream![]()
heh I'm like going the complete opposite direction. Between my Ipad & Ipod, I bought a (3rd!) macbook pro just yesterday. And, we got our first smart phone, an Iphone 4 just last week. It's turning into a virtual Applefest here
And no I'm still primarily a PC guy.. the apple stuff is great for the women here though.
While I'm happy with my Acer Iconia, had I know a couple of you were getting Transformers, I would of joined you.
So in a year or so from now, perhaps a bunch of us MonroeWorlders can, thru many discussions and debates, get together and all get on the same page.![]()
