1:1 wallpaper scrolling?

There is only one thing that I don't really like about my phone (other than the battery life) and that is the way the background wallpaper scrolls. I'm currently running 2.3.4 gingerbread and what I would like more than anything, would be for each screen of icons to take up the 'correct' amount of wallpaper. Are there any hacks/plugins or alternate loaders that will scroll the wallpaper at the exact same ration as the icons? So that if I have 3 screens with icons, I could have wallpaper exactly 3 screens wide scroll by a full screen width at a time, instead of half or whatever the hell it is.

Interesting request. It would seem that there would be some launcher that would have this.
