E3 .. your thoughts (and mine)

Wow, so far, so horrible. This is possibly the worst E3 on recent memory.

All Reggie has to do is show up and say 'Mario 128 ... 1080p ... Take care.' and leave.

It's been rough going so far--Sony and Nintendo have a real opportunity to blow the roof off. Microsoft played it safe and was pretty boring outside of those Modern Warfare 3 and Tomb Raider trailers.

I thought that the Micorsoft wasn't too bad....almost made the Kinect interesting....and I thought that Call of Duty MW3 is really good.

Sony's presentation was kinda lukewarm....however I thought that the Vita is hot and if Sony doesn't find a way to screw it up, they got a winner!

So now it's all up to Nintendo....their next console needs to be Hot also.

Watched a portion of the Sony conference. I was very impressed with the Vita and shocked--in a good way--with the price. I also liked the Ruin game and the idea of sharing the same save file between the console and portable; however, how much will it cost to buy both games?
I'm ready to pre-order the Vita based on what I saw and I didnt expect to write that. Put Fallout or Skyrim on the VIta and I've died and gone to nerd heaven.

Feeling old but I was excited about the potential digital tv streaming offered by Microsoft. We'll see if I can finally get rid of cable.
The older I get, the fewer games I need. Skyrim, MW3, Batman and Unchartered will do the trick for me.

    Other thoughts?

And if Nintendo wants to sell more of their 3DS's they'll lower the price to $199 or less....I'm thinking $169 due to the Vita's outing.

Well, from a games perspective, they have pretty much all been garbage so far, but at least all of the conferences had plenty of moments of unintentional hilarity (Ubisoft's awful Mr. Caffeine being chief among them). Also loved the audience reacting to Vita's AT&T exclusivity with incredulous laughs and booing.

Phone/Data carriers are all hit or miss...depending on where you are located and the quality of your phone to some extent. Customer service is about the same also.

Everything has been a big disappointment for me so far. Don't companies actually ask people what they like and will buy? Of course, I just answered my own question. It doesn't matter, people will buy all the crap they shovel out, right?
