    Droid X2 Available on Verizon

    According to Droidgamers.com

Any thoughts on this one? Since the Bionic might possibly be canceled or delayed, should this be the one to get? It is a duel core, which is one of my only issues with the current Droid X.

I only asked because my mom (who I gave my Blackberry to when I got my Droid) has been asking when I am upgrading my Droid so she can upgrade to my 'good' Smart phone.

Even the person you least likely expect to get into these gadgets can get hooked once they get a taste of what they can do. It really is funny. So much like a drug.

My problem here is there is no front facing camera. What in the heck is that about? Otherwise, it looks great.

And there is no 4G, so I think its better to wait for another handset.

Nice specs! My current contract is up in September and I'll keep the X2 in mind.

I think I like the X2's specs a little better....but the Charge is also nice.

Is 4G really that great though? Is the data significantly faster?

Depends on what kind of 3G speeds you're on--Verizon is like dial up here in Houston, but 4G is a huge leap. I've heard similar impressions from Shane in Phoenix. But Womp was already getting really nice 3G speeds in Philly, so 4G will (presumably) be less of a jump out your way. It's still supposed to be a measurable increase, though.

Samsung Galaxy S II or bust. Plus Verizon is getting rid of 3G in the long run anyway.

This X2 isn't the Droid you want right now, although I am sure it is a nice phone in its own right, there are too many other superior devices right around the bend.
