I've always heard it's more about girth than length.
Probably resistive touch, its Curtis, and its running 2.1. The official Nook 2.2 upgrade is coming soon anyway.

Capacitive screens are typically $100 more, so this makes sense. But still, not bad if you can handle using a stylus.

Sorry but gestures and shortcuts wouldn't be the same. Resistive touch screens on a tablet would be a sin.
