Woohoo. It's about time they released something and the fact that DSi exclusives will work is sweet.

If you're hovering over the CHECKOUT button, waiting for someone to tell you it's ok to buy - pull the trigger. There are some minor growing pain issues - being a fresh solution, but the team are releasing updates very quickly at this point so I suspect there won't be issues for long.

And, once people find out that it's one of the handfuls of flashcarts that work on it - and it's by Cyclops - I have a feeling we'll see some shortages in the month to come - and you don't want to be left out.

Here are some unboxing images to tide you over..

For those curious on the "legal" part of it ...

Essentially, the product does not ship ready to use. It has no bootstrap loader. You use their code + 2 specific game roms (one DS, one DSi specific) and a little exe to do a merge. You plug the empty cart into the programming dongle, then plug that into a USB port (it's just for power from what I can tell - nothing has to be installed on the PC or even run). You copy the new bootstrap loader you made to the microsd, and then you plug that into the card that is in the programmer that is in the USB port. Takes about 3 minutes and the bootloader is flashed. Once you do this, unless Nintendo throws a curve ball, you won't have to do it again. Firmware/loader updates are drag and drop onto the card as per usual. Looks pretty future proof.

The UI has gotten a big overhaul - with lots of neat features like extra rom save slots, copy/move/delete, bookmarks (or quick launch) for games you play all the time, etc. I'll shoot video when the time is right.

Having enjoyed my original CycloDS Evolution, and seeing where Shane said it works on the latest 3DS in DSi mode, I went ahead and ordered one. Got it yesterday.
I had a problem, though. It defaults to regular DS mode. And that won't even load up on my 3DS. I had to switch it to DSi mode, but that option doesn't exist when I put it in my DS lite or "phat" DS. So basically, it really didn't do much more than my original Evolution.
Luckily, the Team Cyclops Forums just came online again yesterday. And eventually, a link to solve this problem was posted.
Some great person made a program that'll let you switch it to DSi mode (using a lite or "phat".) This wonderful program has been posted on http://gbatemp.net/topic/309652-swit...si-from-a-dsl/
    Works great for me
Hopefully that'll help out some other people. Now if only Team Cyclops could put it in their official firmware. Though I've read they're not doing so well lately with updates and such...
