I think you have to have a "dead 360's unique number" to jTag right?

"Consider the improbable is possible"
Many have an online element (high score tables, challenging other online players, and whatnot) but I'd say the majority of them are fine with single player and offline. Just the ones on the top of my head.. Geometry Wars, Banjo kazooie, Time Pilot, Nectaris, Limbo, Braid, puzzle quest, Peggle.. You could keep going and going.
There are leaderboards for most of the games you listed. I think it's a lot of fun comparing scores to your friends scores. So I would still say you are missing out without access to the leaderboards. I have played a few Live Arcade games multiplayer aspect as well and these games are a blast. You can play games with your friends and chat with them like you are in the same room. I was playing Final Fight coop with a friend of mine and it was really cool how we could talk to each other while we played. My point is you can't really "demo" xbox live arcade games without being connected to Live in the first place in my opinion.
All XBox Live Arcade games have a free demo mode anyway so there really is no legit excuse to make this mod in my opinion other than to steal software or cheat in games. I personally don't get why so many people on this forum are interested in hacking systems or finding ways to run software illegally. I understand it to a certain extent, but it really seems to me some people on this forum don't pay for software they use on a regular basis and that is just wrong to me.
I've haven't remodded either of my Xboxes ... Thanks to "Gamestop Rentals", I still sample games for free. Keep only what I want. Cancel anytime. Every month a new game comes. It's like a Time Life book series....

A quick search on ebay shows me a bunch of "banned xbox 360"s but I don't know if that automatically means they are jtagged. None say this.
So are we talking over $150 for a jtagged one perhaps?
I'm betting you'll pay much more than retail for a jtagged box. You'll pay more like $50-$80 for a banned one. A modded one that has NOT been banned, probably a tad over retail (but you have no guarantee it has NOT been banned until you try it).

I checked Criagslist for your area, Flare--the closest jtag'd Xbox was in Little Rock and the guy wants $800 for it hehehe.

Different stuff is fun to different people bro. I have no interest in comparing my score with other peple (my wang is longer that someone else's). I haven't had any exposure to playing co-op online, so I won't miss it. What I want out of this console is the hability to extend my media to my TV, I could go for a boxee box or a popcorn hour, but if I could instead get one that's also a gaming device, so much the better.Originally Posted by entexman
Finally, if I'm gonna plunk money into this, I might as well get one that lets me have 100% control over it.
Damn... I had no idea a cracked-open device would be much more expensive!
Yeah, I'm reading that the process is kinda of a pain in the butt, so I'm sure people are charging a premium.
