Found a security solution ... Anyone interested in details?

Now that everyone is back in school, I'm getting leary about the house being unprotected.

So, after careful consideration - I've come up with a solution I'm pleased with (on paper).

Is anyone interested in my solution? I'm not sure just how "public" I should make my findings, but I'd be happy to share the hardware I'm purchasing and, privately, discuss my findings - including how well the equipment works and my experiences testing it.

Suffice to say - it was inexpensive, covers several methodologies of protection and has ZERO monthly fees.

Here's a good source for security systems, also if you're looking for a monitoring service, on the cheap, they provide an affordable solution @ $9 a month with zero contract.

Personally, if the system isn't monitored, it does little to ease my mind... My system is cell based, so they can cut the phone line and power, my alarm still calls the monitoring service...
