Ever heard of google?
Dammit man! I feel very protective of our community and questions like this are NOT what we need!
Your FIRST post is a question that you could EASILY retrieve from ANY common search engine...

How about posting WHAT brought you to RGR?
Vroooooom! psssft! Vroooooom! psssssft!
Well there's a nice friendly atmosphere......"our community"?! Don't get too elitist man.....we, or you, are not THAT special. Not every question or comment is going to be perfect, so give the guy a break eh?
Hi loop![]()
Don't take any notice of Turbo (X army boy!), but he's right in that, google is your friend. There are thousands of sites out there about the Megadrive, or any other old/new console/computer.
Anyway, welcome.
You'll soon get used to us here, or maybe not!![]()
I belive a "mega key" is some sort of mega drive cart convrter allowing the user to play games from all regions. A very handy peace of kit!
Account no longer in use!
Yeah... I suppose you have a point, but at the same time, I don't feel that I'm being an elitist in being annoyed at RGR being used as a quick fix for people unwilling to use a search engine. After all he probably spent more time signing up than he would have spent google'in it.Originally Posted by horprodukt
I would rather us members spend time sharing ideas. That said, there exist (atleast to me) a double standard in that, such a question submitted by an established member would be recieved differently than by someone who's first post is a simple question.
Loop: don't take it personal man, I'm not attacking you, just trying to make a point![]()

Its hard to enter an established, family community as an outsider. And yes, I understand Turbo's position; we don't want to be a dumping ground for commonality - that will eventually bring the dregs and the forum can (and will - the past has shown us) implode. I'd much rather empower than answer.
So, that being said - welcome. Also, responding to threads like this, do a Google Search, get the URL, then a simple:
This can be found in spades on Google:
<link>
... and leave it at that. That should impart our feelings on the matter without getting the smackdown out.

I guess as a newbie to the community you want to spend some time reading posts and then slowly start responding to posts. Then perhaps start a thread yourself (once you understand the community a little). Intoducing yourself as your first post would also be a good idea.Originally Posted by Shane R. Monroe
I guess I can kind of understand that. The guy only has one post, and that was to start a new thread. I have never done that in a thread, only recently have I even started new threads, but have been visting the RGR forum for years.Originally Posted by TripHamer
