So last night I gave this game a try: Fast Food Panic by SouthPeak.
Boy, does this game stink. I'm not being an anti-Wii / PS3 fanboy here. It's really really bad.
It's even a bigger ripoff considering they're selling this as a full retail game for $29.99. What. The. F*ck.
I'll sum this game up by saying; this is a sad attempt at a "Diner Dash" style game, yep, it's the same game you played 7 years ago in your web browser: You receive customers, you take their order, you prepare their food, and you charge them. Ah, but this game must be so much better right? It has motion controls! You actually get to cook the food! Yes, that means there are shoehorned waggle controls for every single thing you do (you could always greet a customer by pressing "A", but no, let's have you waggle the nunchuck instead! What fun! I feel like I'm doing this IRL!)
F*ck! I play this and I get so pissed off. It enrages me that thanks to the fact that "casual gaming" exists, developers get lazy and release this crap.
Clearly, this is a game Target would not carry in the future. Why? Of course, it features: 10 exciting mini games to play along!
Needless to say, the graphics are sh¡t, it's super low res and it features that anime-inspired look that developers use to lure us into forgetting we're experiencing bad graphics.
In the end, I played it long enough to realize this game is repetitive, unsatisfying, and gimmicky.
Please, I beg of you, avoid this game at all costs; save your hard earned $29.99 and buy Rabbids Go Home instead; a real game from a real studio.
