For cheap PSP storage, I use an adapter that holds two microSD cards inside a Memory Stick Pro Duo shell. I picked it up for a few quid off Ebay - it works quite well, and I now have a 16GB stick for a fraction of the cost.

Nice, I'm surprised SD and memory sticks aren't actually that cheap, I read awhile ago something about manufacturers had mass produced a huge ammount of cards but couldn't sell as fast so they had tons spare. If I had a load of memory cards because I produced too many too fast I would lower the price right down for a few months until half of my stock was gone then up the price and continue manufacturering them. that way you get better PR and you can actually shift some of the spare cards.

Yup. Womp and I picked one up back when we got our PSPs. From Amazon.com Photofast CR-5400 for $8.51. I got 2 of them. One has Duel 8GB MicroSDHC cards and the other has Duel 4GB cards.
