    Why sites like this are important.

    IGN/Gamespy = News Corps.
    Gamespot/GameFAQs = CBS
    Gametrailers = MTV Networks
    1Up= Hearst Corporation

    Most of the smaller gaming sites and communities I used to visit are dead or nonactive. The old gaming community has either spread out, grown up, grown out, or become extremely jaded. Monroeworld is the only one left in my old bookmarks that is still active.

    Yeah Monroeworld is great. I like an active forum with people who know that posting glitter banners in every thread should be punishable by death.

    .. and thank goodness with Shane's stance on that.
    How painful are glitter banners to look at! It's also nice when you disagree with Shane that he doesn't ban you outright like some other forums do... (NeoGaf for one)

    I bet NeoGaf will be owned by Time Warner before the year's out.

    I kinda liked the old red light district feel of the web. I'm not a fan of the sanitation of web 2.0. Too clean, too white, too corporate. Where's the darkness?

    Thank you Womp. My eyes are burning once again. I had to dictate this message to someone else to type.

    what Darksol said.

    Ya Nectar, its great that a person can even be annoying like me and still have a friendly forum to be a part of.
