Well, it's probably a bit premature for all that, but Nintendo did trademark the name "Zii" according to several news sources, along with the words "Cii", "Oii" and others hehehe.
Oii, vey!

Hehehe
I love those jokes, they always make me laugh, duct taped, giant enemy crab, Massive damage and Ridge racer. Those are the new classics.
POW Block anyone?
Now that we've had our customary jab at Nintendo in this thread, let's get back on topic hehehe.
Nintendo World Report is...errr...reporting that Nintendo may be in talks with Intel about using the rumored "Larrabee" processor in Nintendo's next console. The multi-core CPU/GPU hybrid has also been rumored to be used by DreamWorks Animation for a future CGI movie production. Plans for it's use in a consumer graphics card application to be released in 2010 were recently scrapped by Intel.

Hmm not too sure I would go with Intel for graphics until they get a little more cred in the graphics biz. Does that mean they would consider to switch over to x86 too for main CPU host processing?

I'm no resource when it comes to talking tech, but my understanding is that Larrabee is a hybrid of both CPU and GPU, designed to cover both tasks at low cost and with minimal power consumption. It's also being considered for a future generation of netbooks.
If that's the case, it would be in line with Nintendo's minimalist tendencies with regards to cost and form-factor. Whichever route they take, my guess is that while they will certainly support HDTV's, they likely will trade power for efficiency once again and leave the arms race to Sony and Microsoft.
