    My GBA Most Wanted List

Here is my list of games that need to be ported to GBA badly:

Final Fantasy 6 (FF3 US) - The first Final Fantasy game I played and the only one I enjoyed thoroughly. I feel the only way I can dedicate time to play it through again is if it were portable.

Chrono Trigger - Again, another great Squaresoft RPG that would make a lot of people happy.

Final Fantasy 4 - I heard this one was really good, and again, the only way I'd have time to play it is if it were portable.

Sonic the Hedgehog series (1-3, Sonic CD??) - These were great games, especially #2. I wasn't too impressed with Sonic Advance (I haven't tried Sonic Advance 2 yet). I want the original games! I'm sure if they are creative enough about it, they might be able to fit Sonic CD on a cartridge, too.

While we're at it, Nintendo, how about a brand new Super Mario Bros. 4? No, I'm not talking about Super Mario World, it would be a brand new 2D platformer that's done in the spirit of the originals.

Anyone else have such a list? Let's hear it!

I have to disagree with you about porting sonic the hedgehog because, as we saw with sonic advance 1/2, sonic can't be played on a small screen. It ruins the scrolling effect and the sense of speed.

It's unlikely we will see a new 2d mario game anytime soon. but have you checked out Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga? It's pretty solid.

    AS for my wish list,

    - Kirby Superstar or Kirby 3 or Kirby's Dream Course or any kirby game
    - Super Punch-Out!!! would be the shizzle
    - Tetris Attack (duh)
    - U.N. Squadron
    - Super F*ing Metroid
    - I also wouldn't mind having a Gba Mortal Kombat game that DOESN'T Suck (kthnxmortalkombatadvance)

Other than that, I'm happy with the games that I own.

A Nintendo classics pack with the original Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr, Mario Bros and Popeye and oh yea, Donkey Kong 3.

A .VS pack too would be nice (based on the arcade games, not the nintendo home versions)

I second on Super Punchout. Either the SNES version or arcade would be nice.

A question about the gameboy Donkey Kong.
I was looking for information and found there was a Donkeykong for the Gameboy (Color I think)
Found a review and it claimed it was both good and had new levels.
Anyone have this checked it out and better yet is it worth my time finding?

This could even force me to grab a gameboy to play new levels of DK.

It was actually for the original B&W GameBoy and it did indeed have new levels. However, the real treat was playing it on the SNES Super GameBoy. It was one of the first games to take advantage of the extra features, like arcade cabinet side art and limited colors. Of course any standard GameBoy you play it on - even the GC GameBoy Player - will not support any of the Super GameBoy features.

(remember though, this is NOT in color on any GameBoy)

    But was it fun?
How much is it like playing the arcade for a fun feel.
I realize that the gameboy was limited but would like to know prior to a full fledged manhunt (carthunt) only to be disipointed.

An old Gameboy is quite cheap but havent seen the DK cart.

    Thanks

EBGames has it used for like $14.99. I added it to my list of things to buy. I actually forgot about it until you reminded me (I can do something with my Super GameBoy now other than Game and Watch Gallery and Galaga/Galaxian). I enjoyed it when I played it, though I found it frustrating. It's not quite like the original, but it's worth it and is more Donkey Kong than any of the games since Donkey Kong Jr.

DK for the Gameboy, Got it!

    OK here goes.
    I went the cheap way.
Found it used borrowed a B/W Gameboy and....
This is one of the best games I have played in years.
Please keep in mind I gave the B/W back once I tried the emulation of the SuperGameBoy.
Sure a black and white game can be fun but the blur on the screen bothered me.
Since firing this up on the PC I can’t stop playing it.
Up to 2 am and find myself returning for just a few more tries.

This is not the greatest game of all time but boy is it addictive.
Has the fun of the original Dk mixing together Super Mario Bros. and DK jr. and new headstand and puzzle solving.
OK I'm sure everyone gets the point I have found a game that I will recommend highly.

Sad that I would never give the Gameboy any credit beyond Tetris.
Perhaps a new look is needed.
