    John Candy

Ok, so maybe this isn't DVD specific, but since you won't be seeing him in anything new...

I'm watching Armed and Dangerous on TV and laughing my ass off! Paired with Eugene Levi (Like the SCTV days - god thats a whole other thread), my laughter is offset by his death and that saddens me.

When I think back to the many films he was in, I think he was one of the greats. Anybody else here feel the same?

    Vroooooom! psssft! Vroooooom! psssssft!

    Good thread,

I love his films too, I know i've mentioned it a few times before but trains, planes and automobiles is one of my favourite films the end still touches me. Uncle buck was another great film.

    damn shame.

You know, I haven't see "Armed And Dangerous" but there are a number of films that to this day remain classics to me - Uncle Buck, Spaceballs, his bitrole in Home Alone, Cool Runnings, Only The Lonely, and of course Planes Trains & Automobiles.
    Demolition Man
    Listen. Think. Rant.
NFL = New England Patriots (AFC) & Minnesota Vikings (NFC)
MLS = New England Revolution (East) & LA Galaxy (West)

If I were more sensative I would have cried watching PT&A. What a range he had.

The truely sad part is that I feel this way never knowing him as a person; what does it feel like to know someone who's passed?

Fortunately for me, I've never known anyone that I cared deeply about die (Shouts out to my Army friends in Iraq!!).

How hard must it be on this forum for those that knew Bryan...

I think its great to celebrate peoples lives in whatever way we can.

I lost my big brother a few years back. Its hard at first, but now I can look back with a smile on my face and think of all the rotton things he done to me! Like big brothers do

I also lost my best friend too, but again, time heels all and life go's on and you look back grin

I loved almost all of the John Candy films. Every now and then I have get out my copy of the Great Outdoors as nothing makes me laugh out loud as much as that bald headed bear. "BIG..BIG...Big bear chase me!"

Yeah! They were great movies. I got his last movie - Wagon East. That's the movie he passed away while making.

Once upon a Crime was just on TV... while not one of John Candy's best roles, he had me crackin' up. There's another movie of his that hasn't been mentioned yet... something like "Bonkers" or "Frazzled"... great stuff...

EDIT: I guess it was "Delirious"...
