    Pocket PC Apps Thread

Well guys, I was browsin over on craigslist the other day and saw the XV6700 for 50 bucks so I picked one up. I didn't need a data plan even though the Verizon Customer Service people told me differently. I can just use the WiFi to go online. Anyways I was wondering if any of you guys had suggestions for apps to get.
The List Of Apps I Already Got:
    -WisBar Advance
    -rlToday
    -SkyFire
    -Pencil Box
    -PocketX PDF
    -Pocket Music
    -Google Maps
    -DivX Player
And of Course a few games :P
So I was wondering, to all of you PPC owners out there, what apps would you recommend? Just as a note my XV6700 is running WM5.

I haven't replaced my broken Ipaq PocketPC in years
    but Useful apps:
    ListPro and eWallet from Iliumsoft
(Still use them on my desktop).

and of course, my MameCE3. I haven't done any work on it in a long time but as far as I know, it's still the most functional version for PocketPCs.
You'll need to track done some older romsets for it tho.

Here's more that I havent mentioned:

PMRecorder (http://www.1800message.com/usepmr.aspx): Free. Record your phone conversations.
Evernote (http://evernote.com/): Free. Easily keep notes of anything. It can also take pictures using your phones builtin camera and it will use OCR to convert any text. It syncs your notes online and with your desktop.
hTorch (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?t=440405): Free. Use the builtin flash of your phone as a flash light. The author has only tested it on an HTC Touch Pro (what I have) but says that it might work on other phones.
Resco Explorer (http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/explorer/): Commercial. The best file manager for windows mobile.
    Remote Desktop Client (http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6...-client.html): Free
myMobiler (http://www.mymobiler.com/): Free. Control your windows mobile device from your PC. You can also use it to take screenshots of your device.
Web Video Downloader (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?t=427702): Download videos from Youtube, Dailymotion, Metacafe and many others (including adult sites)

No problem. The apps I told you earlier were off the top of my head. My phone got stolen so I couldn't remember everything I had installed. Luckily I had insurance so I was sent a replacement phone by sprint.

Anyway, now that I'm trying to get my phone exactly the way I used to have it, Im remembering the apps I need. Here are a couple more.

SoundProfile: Free. Lets you manage your phone volume with scheduled times you set. I always forget to lower my phone volume at work so I set my phone to have lower volume during work hours (9am-5pm, mon-fri).

Microsot MyPhone: Free. It will backup your calendar, contacts, documents and files to an online server.

Netflix Queue Manager: Free. Manage your netflix DVD and instant watch queue.

After my phone was stolen I am seriously considering purchasing an app that allows me to remotely lock or wipe its contents. Microsofts myphone service is supposedly going to have remote wipe, but I couldn't find the option anywhere. The below link reviews a couple of those remote lock/wipe apps.

    http://www.wmexperts.com/reviews/sof...e_smackdo.html

As I use my phone more and more I will eventually find more apps I'm missing. I'll keep updating this thread as it happens.

Thanks again I have a question though. I plan on flashing my phone to WM6 for compatibility and the such and I know I will have to perform a hard reset. One question though. Will my ESN stay the same? I don't wanna have to call Verizon again :P

I know that hard resetting will not change your ESN because I've done it before. However Im not 100% sure if flashing a OS will change you ESN. My guess is no because sometimes service providers will provide OS upgrades for phones. A better place to ask this question would be at the Xda-Developers site. Many of the members there create custom roms that require flashing for different phones.
