ModMii is what I used. It creates a guide based on your Wii setup and gives you necessary files. Cool stuff

Looking for something to move my channels around.
I have empty slots and wish to move the tiles around.
Any suggestions on the program that does this?
I have the ability to load and delete but can not figure out how to move the installed channels.
Thanks

I'm not sure I understand what you're looking to do .... Are you talking about pointing at a channel and holding A+B and moving it to another slot?

Hey, guys.
I stopped reading this thread at page 37...
I HAVE to get all my wii games onto an external hdd! As mentioned above, I've read as much on modding the wii from 2009 as I can stand. I need someone to walk me through this.
As I understand it, I need to:
1. Install an IOS
2. Install a USB Loader
3. Install the Homebrew channel
4. Connect an external USB drive that is known to be compatible
Is this all correct and in the right order?
The Homebrew channel is the starting point - and that requires an exploit to get installed.
Currently, the reigning method of doing that is Letter Bomb.

Once you have HBC running, you can run any number of tools or methods to get an EXPLOITED CIOS (Hermes, Waninkoko)
Then, get your USB Loader (I'm currently recommending CFG USB Loader) installed.
I would use a PC and Wii Backup Manager to move ISOs of games to your drive - or you can use the Loader to "install" them from actual discs.
That should get you started.

Ok, so:
1. Install Letterbomb.
2. Install Homebrew Channel.
3. Install Hermes or Wninkoko.
4. Install CIOS.
5. Install a USB Loader.
6. Format a compatible external USB hdd, (I'm thinking 500gig), with a WBFS partition using Wii Backup Manager to take advantage of smaller file sizes. Alternatively, rip and move my game .isos using Wii Backup Manager on my PC to the USB hdd with an NTFS partition.
7. Rip my games through the Wii to the USB hdd.
8. Profit.
Am I missing anything?
Oh, would you happen to know off-hand which 500gig external USB drive I can pick up at Fry's/Best Whore that's compatible? I'm eager to give my waifu something more to be pissed about.
3 + 4 are about the same thing.
Otherwise, you look pretty good.
I went the ugly route - I use a pair of EZ-Docks .. one attached to the Wii, one on my PC. Then I dropped in an old 500GB 3.5" drive I had laying around.
Now, when I want to do drive maintenance, I can just pull the drive off the dock on the Wii, walk to the PC - drop it in the dock ... so great.
But it ain't comely....
