    Actually, I got it working

    Go here:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/71...ops-guide.html

Since I'm using USB Loader GX, I grabbed the IOS 249 rev 20 (base 57) wad file from the link they provided and installed that, then ran the game from USB LOader GX with IOS 249, and presto They've got known working configurations for Wiiflow and the other loaders.

Hopefully, I didn't break any other games in the process.

I was about to ask if you could just forward that link here, but it turns out I'm a member of so many stinking boards I was already registered over there.

Can you plug in an external keyboard to the Wii for typing in very long passwords?

    That's good to hear.

Can anyone point me to a cable for hooking the Wii up to a VGA monitor that really works?
What are the best value rechargeable batteries for the remote plus? Thanks.

Pretty much any female component to VGA adapter should work, but your monitor needs to have the ability to receive component signals through its VGA input. Otherwise, I don't think any of them would work, unless you get a converter, which costs more than I'd be willing to pay.

There is an official VGA cable for using Wii with a monitor, though I can't seem to find a listing for it online. I picked one up at launch.

Regarding batteries, I've used Energizer rechargeable in the past and they've worked great. But for the best experience, try the Energizer induction charger--pretty slick, just lay the Wii remote on the pad when not in use and you'll always be charged. I'm a big fan of induction chargers for Wii, and this is the best one I've found. They come in 2x and 4x sizes.

If you want to get DKC Returns to work, try Hermes' IOS 223 w/base IOS 37 merged with 38. Once again, I don't know what the hell that means, but it worked The only caveat is that if you installed IOS 249 rev 20 to get COD Black Ops to work, you'll have to downgrade to IOS 249 rev 17 to make the Hermes installer work, then reinstall 249 rev 20. On rev 20, the Hermes installer will fail with 'bad HASH' while trying to download the IOS files, and will also fail with the same error even if you try the offline installer. At least, that was my experience, so I did some checking and that's when I found out about the rev 17 downgrade hack.

The upshot to doing the above though is that it also makes the Rock Band 3 keyboard controller work (uses a USB dongle). Just press the + button (I think) to get it to recognize the keyboard once you're in the game. Otherwise, the LEDs will light on the keyboard, but you won't be able to use it.

FYI: About the keyboard controller... I was excited about trying it, but then realized after the fact that there's only 4-5 songs in the game that are worth playing on keys, so unless you plan to go DLC, I'd pass on it.
