Here's what I did last night:

I used Wii Backup Manager and connected my existing hard drive full of games (WBFS formatted drive). Then I connected a new, empty hard drive, formatted NTFS. What Wii Backup Manager does is create a WMFS folder on the NTFS drive and copies over all the "small sized" files directly into that folder. If you do it this way, there's no need to blow them up to full ISOs.

Mine were both 1.5TB drives, with about 800GB full. It took from about 10pm last night to 8am this morning to complete the process. The program is pretty cool--I'll be using it to keep two drives up to date in case one fails, and it automatically detects any games that are already on the drive and deselects them so you don't have to figure out where you did your last backup. Cool stuff.

I see.... my hard drive is only 250MB and it's the only one I've got

I've got a 1TB drive but I have that one with existing data at work. Does the 1TB drive need to be clean? Or can I just transfer them to a new folder in that drive?

You can transfer to any drive, as long as there is a WBFS folder--no need to have a dedicated drive.

Question. What do I use to transfer a .ciso file to a WBFS Drive?

Turns out the loaders don't like huge hard drives like the ones I was using (1.5TB), so I switched back to WBFS. Still, the Wii Backup Manager makes it easy to move files around and keep a nice backup, and the WiiFlow loader is a lot more elegant than USB Loader GX.

Thanks for your help today, Shane!

When you mod the WII does it kill your game save files?
I finally plan on doing mine but don't want to lose the saves.
Also what is the "best" program to use? Looking around the Bannerbomb seems to be my pick I have 4.2U (thanks to SM Galaxy)

Your save files should be fine.

Bannerbomb V4.2 should get you going:

Man, what a pain in the ass it is to get Wii Sports Resort running.

You need to install Wiiscrubber to load the ISO, navigate to some obscure point in the data, extract a DOL file, place it in an SD card, rename it to player.dol, open your USB Loader, select the options of the game, choose Alt Dol to be player.dol, play a 3 minute video about how to use Wii Motion Plus, get back into the Wii System menu, re-execute your USB Loader, get back into options, remove Alt Dol, then finally.... you get to play the game.

    Jesus...

If you legitimately own the game, it's easy. You play the game off disc the first time, then after that, you play it from the hard drive with no BS as mentioned above.

It's just you filthy Mexican Pirates that have to go through the BS.
