    Which card to go for?

I want a card for homebrew. I dont want to dump any of my games (I dont mind holding loads of games on me). I may wish to do some emulation and media. So I should ask- which card will be best for me? I want stable, fast and to be as easy as pos (I still have nightmares from a GP2X- that set its self on fire in my hands!)

You pretty much have your choice if NDS games aren't your issue. R4, CycloDS Evo, AceKard, etc. Pick your price range.

Might take a look at this:

Supposedly decent -- and for $28 too.

I have a CycloDS and love it. But if you only want it for homebrew, emulation, and media you can save some money and get one of the others.

    R4 with a 2 gig card for $24.

    OR

R4, no memory card, free shipping for $20

Memorybits UK has some for around the £13 mark (R4 with 1GB)- but the US prices when turned into UKP are cheaper- so I'm gonna have a look this Sat (wifes payday). Im just taking note of the shipping fees and how long it'll take to get here as I live in England.

Personally I would still pick the Cyclo. Even if you don't plan on dumping your games its always nice to know you can. And Playing something like Etrian Odyssey with a Real Time Save available at any time is worth the extra couple bucks.

Simply put, if you want constant features being added, and dont mind paying a premium, go with the CycloDS.
If you want a flashcart that'll do what it advertises, and plays your backups and homebrew, the AceKard2, TTDS, iTouchDS are for you.

Personally, I feel the future-proof nature of the CycloDS Evo card makes it worth the premium. But I'm just that way.

Yet another painful reminder that I need a CycloDS. Anyone want to buy my R4?
