    Need help deciding Flash Card/homebrew

I want to copy MY games that I own to a flash card. I am wanting to ask for the flash card for christmas, but I don't know what flash card to get. I just want a simple drag-and-drop with easy backup of my games save games already on the official game cards. I also want a simple interface.

Which one should I get, and how would I go about backing up my games and game saves?

Forget "simple". In grey markets like this - it doesn't exist.

HOWEVER, there are easier, better choices than others.

What you want is the CycloDS Evolution card and you might as well ask for an EZ 3 in 1 Expansion Pack for slot 2 because they really are a double act.

Everything you could ask for in terms of information is here:

Thanks, Shane. How does the NDS/GBA game backup work with the CycloDS Evolution + EZ 3-in-1 Expansion Pack? I looked at the link but it seemed kinda vague on the actual process. How would you make multiple passes and make different data copy? (If this sounds annoying, I'm a newbie to DS flash cards)

I was looking at the CycloDS Evolution cause you guys on Dual Screen Radio reviewed it and recommended it. Thanks for helping me make sure that's the one I wanted.

Did you find your way here?

I think it's pretty clear how it works. Considering what it does, I think it's pretty easy. Do it a couple of times, and you're golden. It's much faster than Wifi, too. And, when you're done, the game is sitting on your flash cart, ready to be played. You don't even NEED a PC involved at all. Hunker down in front of the TV, have all your original carts handy, watch a movie and dump games.

While flash cart technology seems to evolve by leaps and bounds, CycloDS appears to be keeping up with things very well. It costs a little more - but it's WORTH it.

    THAT is cool.

Again, thanks for the info, Shane. I'll definitely add the EZ thing to my list. I guess once I get the CycloDS Evolution and the EZ pack, I'll just have to try it out. I saw that you can browse the web when you have a flash card and a GBA expansion pack, like the EZ 3-in-1. What would I download and where would I find it?
Also, does anybody know how to connect a DS to a home wifi network with a lot of security? I've tried with Metriod Prime Hunters, but it pretty much says that the computer has protection not compatible. I just think it's too much security. If anyone has a hack or way around the security without disabling, it'd be much appreciated.

Just because you CAN, won't mean you'll ever WANT TO. The legal way to do it is to purchase a copy of Opera for the DS (check eBay - it's been nuked from retail) - this will get you compatibility with MOST sites, but its so damn slow -- imagine 300 baud dial up and you'll get the idea.

There are "homebrew" browsers, but no support for cookies, javascript, etc. - you know - the stuff you need to pretty much do ANYTHING on the web.

The DS supports WEP only. Your choice is - use WEP on your router, or buy another access point, throw it on your network, and make IT WEP. You can always use a Nintendo USB Wifi Adapter as well - not the range, but it works without having to monkey with your router or network configuration. Just plug it into aPC, install the software, done.

With the CycloDS Evolution + EZ 3-in-1 Expansion Pack combo, can you backup GBA games and play them off the CycloDS Evolution?
If you can, I could definitely backup my entire library of games.

Once again, for what it is worth...Opera DS is worthless. It's no longer available because it sucks. I don't even have it on my CycloDS. :P

Honestly, while it does ... REALLY SUCK ... I believe it is AND ALWAYS WILL BE the only way to surf on the DS with any sort of success.

Any surfing with the DS is good. But it's a bonus for me since my parents are a little strict when it comes to the internet
