Lightbulb Wii Minute Radio - August 2008 Show is here!

Wii Minute Radio - August 2008 Show 1x05 should be hitting your RSS readers, iTunes, and Zune Marketplace at any moment. The show is also ready for direct download at the website and the latest episode has been loaded on our Wii Opera Browser friendly site. More info at www.wiiminuteradio.com.

This month we've got reviews of Blast Works: Build, Trade, and Destroy, Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon, and the WiiWare light-gun shooter Wild West Guns. We cover the aftermath of last month's E3 Press Conference from Nintendo and help Mr. Miyamoto out with a few new game ideas for Wii. We also go through what's currently on store shelves as well as the flood of great games coming to Wii in September, and the Crapware segment returns this month. Find out where that smell is coming from on the August 2008 edition of Wii Minute Radio!

I've already got a head start on next month, trying to get back to early-in-the-month releases. Look for the September show in the next few weeks featuring reviews of Capcom's We Love Golf! and Order Up! from Zoo Games.

    Hope you enjoy the show!

I'm surprised that in the 'games that should be made' segment, there was no mention of Punchout. Probably one of Nintendo's best IPs, and it has been ignored for the last 10+ years.

Also, count me in as a Geometry Wars 2 Wii supporter

That's actually a great one, would be really cool with two Wiimotes and a balance board too.

The other one I'd like to see is a new Luigi's Mansion using the Wiimote for the flashlight and ghost vacuum, but that one's been beat to death by Nintendo fans and my guess it's it will come eventually.

Looking forward to listening tomorrow morning. I've been curious about Wild West Guns - it looked pretty promising.

The storage solution thing is starting to be really demoralizing at this point. I feel like I have no room for anything on my Wii, even new Wii games. Why buy Madden when Franchise mode is going to take up lots of blocks? Blastworks takes up well over 100 blocks just to create your own stuff.

    Great show this month, Alex.

Thanks for the shoutout to "Animales De La Muerte". Since the game is themed in Mexico, I feel it's kinda my own

Loved the Alone in The Dark review. Keep the crapware coming

Agreed. That's a big reason why I bought most cross-platform titles on xbox rather than ps2 or gamecube.

I totally agree about Madden being game that blurs the "casual" and "hardcore" labels. People who play Madden and only Madden are sort of casual, in that they're not really traditional gamers, but they're really freaking hardcore about that game. They put in a crapload of time, know all the ins and outs, and buy it every year.
