Steal it and bring it to the next Monroe A Palooza.
Jesus. One more reason to move away from Arkansas and into Austin.
They also seem to have a good selection of games. Hardly any classic games, but at least it doesn't look to be redemption-only machines.
Guess this is trickling out, Ill have to check panama city and the two local "arcades" to see if it made it here.

I found out that the grand opening for the Austin arcade is 8/29/08, so will have to wait until next Friday. I bet the place is gonna be packed too. It'll be an even bigger sausage fest than M-A-P![]()
Damn WorknMan, I'm jealous. I wish I lived in a more happenin' city.
Darn it, even Little Rock, the capital of Arkansas is not happenin' at all.
What I noticed is that in Austin, the mexican community is huge. Maybe (ed. I'm sure) I'll sound like an arrogant ass but to me that makes it less attractive than I hoped it would be, even if by my own nature, it should be the opposite.

LOL, I dunno.. guess I don't really notice. To me, the mexicans don't stand out as much as the blacks do, mainly because mexicans don't usually drive through my apartment complex at 3am with with some monster subwoofers in the back of their vehicles blasting the latest gangsta rap album. Personally, I think the death penalty should seriously be considered for anybody who does this (doesn't matter what your skin color is). I'd pay money to watch those bastards fry -- right along with the spammers. What I noticed is that in Austin, the mexican community is huge. Maybe (ed. It's because you don't live where Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt do.
Finally got my lazy ass to Arcade UFO in Austin to check out Street Fighter 4. The place is this little hole in the wall with enough parking spaces for about 8 vehicles. Whereas most arcades in the US now days are filled with driving and gun games, this one has mostly fighting games and schmups from Japan. I also saw a driving game called Initial D and In The Groove 2, which is pretty much the same as DDR.
Clearly, the star of the show was SF4. They had 4 cabs, each with a single-player controls. They had 2 cabs side by side, with the other 2 behind them. While pretty much every other game sat unplayed, all of the SF4 cabs were in use the whole time I was there, with more people waiting to play.
When you play against somebody, it is against the person on the cab directly on the other side of you. The game costs $1 to play here, accepts only 'dollar coins', and has a card reader on it. I think the card reader is used for storing stats so you can build up your character to add extra outfits, or whatever.
Anyway, this game kicks some serious ass. They had an SSF2T and an SF3 cab nearby, and SF4 makes them look ancient. Even the Tekken 6 cab they had looked last-gen by comparison. So how does it play? Like SF2, only with a few new tricks. Anybody who's a fan of SF2 is surely going to love this game. If you weren't a fan of SF2, this is probably going to do little to change your mind.
As for the home versions, if they get the online component right, I predict this game is going to become very popular online, very fastSo, start saving your money, kids. And start brushing up on your SF2 skills!
So, do the mechanics have more in common with sf2 or sf3?
