    Shane...

    You're the man!
Awesome...I can't wait to give it a try.

Are there any drawbacks (software compatability, etc) by removing the NDS boot screen?

Can anyone provide a link to a reliable download of the flash me / no flash me software? Any particular version we need to use?

    Happy 4th!

    Chad

    Shane,

    You're a genius....no bricking on my end--no fireworks. Whew!!
out of curiosity, in layman's terms, what actually happens with the flashme and toothpick process?

I am getting the DS in order thanks to all of your's and Womp's help.
    Cyclos DS-check.
    EZ 3 in 1-check.

If I may ask, do the following files need to be on the root directory of Cyclos DS:

    wifi-config.nds
    NDS_BAckup_Tool_Wifi.nds
    NDS_Backup_Tool_Wifi.ini
    GBA Backup Tool.nds
    GBA Backup Tool.ini
    FLash Me
    No Flash Me

Or can I move them all to a utility folder?

Thank you for all your help. I hope to be able to return the favor some day.
    Chad

You are actually REPLACING the firmware on your DS with a "modified" version (that part you PROBABLY figured out).

The toothpick bit is to short jumper SL-1, which is an override that makes it so that SOFTWARE ALONE cannot alter the firmware - either maliciously or accidentally. It's like a dead man's switch on a tractor or locomotive. It is to ensure human interaction in order for the firmware to be written directly to.

I am sure you did this to the one you sold me Shane, but I think the warning is back..........is that possible?

Chances are he did what I did, and maybe didn't replace his battery fast enough? I had forgotten that'd happen.

Obviously once you redo your time etc it reverts back to normal: No warning screen.
